Doggy Woods Retreat was founded in the summer of 2023, but our love for dogs goes way back.
In 2007, our founders Joshua and Colette had five dogs. One of their dogs, an American Foxhound, required extra care and attention, inspiring them to learn more about canine behavior. Through that experience, they discovered their passion for bringing balance to dogs.
Over the past few years, they have fostered over 30 dogs through FurKidz 911 Rescue, leading to a growing love for all things dog-related. By 2021, they had already started boarding dogs part-time when they realized it wasn’t just a hobby.
In the summer of 2023, Doggy Woods Retreat was incorporated and began offering full-time dog care.
With our love for pets and expertise, Doggy Woods Retreat has transformed into a second home for pets and a trusted resource for pet owners.
To us, pets are a part of our family. We treat every dog as our own, ensuring they get the love and attention they deserve.
We have years of hands-on experience and knowledge on pet behavior, allowing us to care for animals of all ages and temperaments.

If requested, we can pick up your dog and drop them off at the end of their boarding stay. We do not offer transport for daycare.

Yes, we offer supervised playtime where dogs can play with each other. This is based on size and temperament.
Yes, if they are mobile and have no trouble waiting normal time frames to go out to the bathroom. Diabetic dogs welcome for an extra cost.
Yes, we do accept puppies! However, since puppies have unique needs, special rates apply. We’ll ensure they have a safe and enjoyable experience during their stay.
Yes. Our facility is fully fenced, and we take extra precautions to ensure the safety and security of the pets in our care. We check the perimeter multiple times a day and strictly supervise all playtime and outdoor activities.
Yes. We post lots of pictures and videos on Facebook and TikTok. Follow us to stay updated.
Our in-home boarders sleep on the first floor of our house. We have 5 couches, chairs, and dog beds for dogs to cuddle up on. If your dog prefers a crate, we have those too.
